ForestPack 9.3: Animated ivy, tapered branches, and improved scattering
ForestPack 9.3 is out now!
ForestPack 9.3 is now available, with handy updates to both ForestIvy and Scatter. This release introduces wind animation for climbing plants, tapered geometry for more realistic branches, a new branch rotation parameter, plus the ability to extend existing base lines.
There have also been improvements to scattering in ForestPack. Distribution maps can now be interpreted as grayscale density, making it easier to create natural falloffs and gradated planting patterns directly from textures. Scale can be randomized by area, so you can vary vegetation size across different zones within a single ForestPack, and you can now switch between paint and erase when using the brush tool with simple keyboard shortcuts.
ForestPack 9.3 is available for users with an active Maintenance Plan.
You can download the update directly from the My Products section of your User Panel. If your plan has expired, you can renew at any time without penalty and get immediate access to the latest version.
