NVIDIAs GauGan becomes free desktop app called Canvas

NVIDIA’s GauGan software which is able to turn simple paintings turned into more accomplished artwork is now available as a desktop app called Canvas. Formerly it was only available to use in a browser. The tool uses generative adversarial networks or GANs, to convert segmentation maps into images using a deep learning model trained on a million images. One side effect of moving the product to a desktop app is that the user requires an RTX compatible card to use it. Find out more and download a free beta on NVIDIA’s website.
