How to Disable Yellow Hover Glow in 3DsMax 2016
How to disable the yellow or blue highlights when hovering over or selecting objects in the 3ds Max Viewports.
Solution:
To disable this option go to Customize > Preferences > Viewports tab and deselect “Selection/Preview Highlights”.
If you still wish to differentiate between selected and non-selected objects with selection/preview highlights disabled, do the following:
- Navigate to the Viewport Configuration dialog. To do this click [+] > Configure Viewports… > Visual Style & Appearance tab
- Check the “Selection Brackets” checkbox.
- Objects will now have the traditional selection brackets around them (option is Viewport/scene dependent.)
- The hotkey “J” may also be used to enable or diable Selection Brackets.
